“The creative adult is the child who survived.”

Hey there 👋

I am currently working as a Lead UX Designer at IBM as part of their Training team. I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a BS in Software Engineering where I studied Human-Computer Interaction. I also have a MA in Interaction and UX Design from the University of North Texas. I had previously worked as a Product Designer with Neiman Marcus, Allstate, 7-Eleven, AT&T, Media Gate, GeniusDen, and a few startups around the nation.

Product design lies at the intersection between my two backgrounds: design and cognitive science. While I strive to create visually appealing, guiding, and responsive experiences in the UI, it is the fundamental understanding of the human perspective, research methods, and data analysis in UX that drives the design. With a third culture personal background, I also have experience designing with culture in mind and tailoring experiences to international audiences.

I balanced my coursework with personal creative work, like app artboard and wireframe designs, which showcases my creative mindset. My aim is to create better interfaces and experiences for the user, making the web, application, and technology easier for the user. Simplifying communication barriers by bridging the gap between end-user, designers, and developers.

My creative approach is very minimal, meaning that I plan something simple and dress up the idea from there. I find my inspiration for developing the same way I do for fashion. I look for simple aesthetics and built at that standpoint.

Something unique about me is that I work as a creative director and consultant for professional athletes. I aim to cultivate and boost their off the court/field presence by formulating the best digital presence. Whether it is photo & video content, social media management, brand partnership, I make sure the athletes’ value goes higher than prior to what it was before working with me.
